CPS Test: how many clicks per second can you do?

Click Storm is a click speed test: click or tap as fast as you can and it measures your clicks per second — your CPS. The clock starts on your first click and runs for 1, 5, 10 or 30 seconds while a storm builds around you: the faster you click, the wilder it gets. Spacebar mode turns it into a spacebar counter.

How to play

  1. Pick a test length — 5 seconds is the classic — and choose Click or Spacebar.
  2. Press Ready. Nothing happens until your first click, and that click starts the clock.
  3. Click as fast as you can until the ring runs out.
  4. Your score is clicks divided by seconds. The results add your best single second, your consistency and a speed graph.

Controls

Keyboard & mouse
Left-click anywhere in the box · Spacebar mode: hammer Space · Esc to pause
Touchscreen
Tap anywhere in the box — tapping with two thumbs counts.

Scoring

CPS is your total clicks divided by the test’s length, so 40 clicks in 5 seconds is 8.00 CPS. Every length, and Spacebar mode, keeps its own best. A run that looks like an autoclicker — over 30 CPS, or clicks spaced with machine-perfect regularity — is shown but never saved.

Tips

  • Anchor your wrist and click from the finger, not the arm.
  • Jitter clicking (tensing the forearm so the finger vibrates) and butterfly clicking (two fingers alternating on one button) can push past 10 CPS — go easy on your hand and your mouse.
  • Short tests reward a burst; the 30-second test rewards a rhythm you can hold.
  • On a phone, alternate two thumbs.

Questions

What is a good CPS?

Most people manage about 6–8 clicks per second with a normal click. 8–10 is quick, 10 and above usually means a technique like jitter clicking, and holding 14 or more is rare.

How is CPS calculated?

Clicks divided by seconds: a 10-second test with 85 clicks is 8.5 CPS. The results also show your best single second, which is always at least your average.

What are jitter clicking and butterfly clicking?

Jitter clicking tenses the arm so the clicking finger vibrates rapidly; butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on the same button. Both are popular with Minecraft PvP players, and both can roughly double a normal click rate.

Does it work as a spacebar counter?

Yes. Switch to Spacebar mode and the test counts presses of the space bar instead of clicks, with its own bests.

Why wasn’t my score saved?

A run faster than 30 CPS, or with gaps between clicks too even for a human hand, looks like an autoclicker, so it is shown but not saved as a best.
